Among the vast literature I read, the back of the cereal box is one of the first I see in the morning. I noticed this recipe on the back of the Market Pantry "Honey & Oats Clusters" box and it looked pretty easy to make. It only took five minutes to make! And my kids and I devoured it, they're actually really good, and kind of healthy. You could substitute maple syrup for the corn syrup, I haven't tried it but I'm sure it would be better for you. I also added dried cranberries that added a bit of fruit to the mix. Any chance I have to hide fruits or vegetables into my kid's food is a win for me!

Recipe:

3 cups of Market Pantry Honey & Oat Clusters cereal

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup light corn syrup

1/2 cup peanut butter

Lightly grease a 8 or 9 inch square baking pan. Combine cereal and chocolate chips in a large bowl, set aside. Mix sugar and corn syrup in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture boils, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, store in peanut butter,. Pour over cereal mixture, stir to coat. (It takes a minute of stirring to get it to come together). Press into pan, cut bars while slightly warm (but wait until it cools for it to set before eating).
